HOW TO INSTALL NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 ON WINDOWS 8 OR 8.1 OFFLINE

                   This is what actually happens every time you reload or change your OS to windows 8 or 8.1.You will be unable to install some softwares successfully e.g blackberry desktop manager.Your new windows 8 or 8.1 usually require you to install  NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 to get those softwares running.  So many times when i format my laptop,i dont always have internet connection ready.I have always imagined how this could be done,Here is way out.

HOW TO INSTALL NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 ON WINDOWS 8 OR 8.1 offline mode


NOTICE: If you don’t have an internet connection  you can still activate the .net framework 3.5 but you will need the installation CD for the particular windows 8 you are running.

procedure:

1. Input the installation CD
2. When the CD have been read, point your mouse to the extreme left-down corner of your windows and right click.
3. List of options pops-up,then click command prompt (admin), then paste the following code;

DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:f:\sources\sxs



Note: Please make sure to know the drive directory of installation CD you put into your computer e.g if the cd drive directory is G then change the source to G e.g /Source:g:\sources\sxs.

           If you install an application that requires .net framework, it will demand the .net framework on first start-up by presenting the message box as it is below;
1. click on install feature to enable .net framework 3.5. This requires internet connection.

This another method of enabling .net framework 3.5

1.Click on start menu
2.click on control panel
3.when control panel opens, click on program and features
4.click on Turn Windows features on or off
5.then select the  .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box. it requires internet connection.

Possible errors you might get

0x800f0906: this means that windows could not connect to the internet to download the neccessary files, do not panic all you need to do is check if your internet connect is working propally.
0x800F081F: this means that changes could not be completed. Please reboot your computer and try again
